John Molson

John had migrated from the United Kingdom to Canada in 1782 and was born and raised in the United Kingdom in 1763. Molson ventured into the beverage industry, particularly in the beer brewing business, something he had been interested in from an early age. The Molson Brewery is one of the businesses that he started that has roots up to this day. It’s surprising to note that John Molson began the Molson Brewery at a very young age of only 18 years when John borrowed his first working capital from his grandmother. The limitation in age could not legally allow him to run and manage a brewery company, and he had to integrate his grandmother into the company management. As a result, Molson Brewery is one of the Canadian oldest breweries and companies with close to 150 years in operation.
