Toronto is a great city in Canada with a lot to offer. It has an entertainment district in its downtown where you can find many of the city’s attractions, bars and restaurants. These are some amazing things to do when you visit it.
CN Tower
CN Tower is one of Toronto’s must-see attractions. It’s over 1,815 tall and the ride to the top takes 58 seconds. The elevators are glass fronted, so you get spectacular views. There are three observation levels, including the famous Outdoor Sky Terrace and SkyPod. Those that are bold enough can go on the EdgeWalk, in which you do an outdoor walk around the perimeter of the Outdoor Sky Terrace.
Ripley’s Aquarium Of Canada
This attraction is located in Toronto’s downtown, next to the CN Tower. It’s home to over 20,000 aquatic animals. There’s an underwater viewing tunnel that has more than 100 interactive exhibits to enjoy. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada has a touch exhibit that has stingrays, crabs, shrimp and sharks. There are both saltwater and freshwater environments that feature aquatic animals from around the world. Expect to spend an hour or two at this attraction.
Rogers Centre
Rogers Centre is where the Toronto Blue Jays play. It has a retractable roof, so games can be played even on rainy days. It was recently upgraded, so it has a modern and upscale feeling.
Princess Of Wales Theatre
This is a playhouse with 2000 seats in Toronto’s entertainment district. As it was built with flexibility in mind, the Princess of Wales Theatre can host many types of events. Its stage is large enough to accommodate any theatrical production.
Toronto Railway Museum
This attraction is near the aquarium and CN Tower. It has artifacts and exhibits from Canada’s rail transportation history. There’s a railway simulator to enjoy, and a miniature train ride for children.
Scotiabank Arena
Scotiabank Arena is the home of hockey, basketball and lacrosse in Toronto. The Toronto Maple Leaves, Toronto Raptors and Toronto Rock play. It was completed in 1999 and has won many awards for its fan service, security, environmentalism and more. Over 2,600 events have been held at Scotiabank Arena.
