From natural wonders to entertainment centers, there are many fun things to do while in Canada. These are some top attractions across the country.

Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia has Celtic roots and is tied to the ocean. It has spectacular scenery and colorful villages. The Cabot Trail is one of the top attractions. You can easily spend five days traveling its 186-mile length of coastal highway. There are resorts, inns, restaurants, artist studios and more. There are 26 hikes in Nova Scotia, including the famous Skyline Trail from which you can see whales, bears, moose and bald eagles.

Alberta

Alberta has many attractions and fun things to do. One fun thing to do is look for dinosaur bones in the Canadian Badlands. Rocky Mountain House is a town that’s popular with visitors to Canada. There are forts to visit that were built many years ago by fur traders and the military near Rocky Mountain Home. This town also has the only National Historic Park in Alberta.

Saskatchewan

Saskatchewan has more than 250 museums about its past. Some are art galleries featuring the First Nations’ culture and traditions. There are museums dedicated to dinosaurs and science. You can also go on a river cruise in Saskatchewan. Natural attractions include Grasslands National Park, Chimney Coulee Historic Site, Cranberry Flats Conservation Area and Castle Butte among others.

Ottawa

Ottawa has many entertaining things to do. It has a UNESCO World Heritage Site and many museums. There’s the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, which has airplanes from 1909 and features the International Space Museum. The Canadian Museum of History is the most popular museum in Canada. It has the largest indoor collection of totem poles in the world. Canadian History Hall is the largest exhibit about the history of Canada in the country.

Prince Edward Island

Prince Edward Island is known for its outside adventures. The Confederation trail is popular with hikers and cyclists. It’s 499 km long and is mostly flat. There are many things to do in the ocean like fish, canoe, kayak, swim, snorkel or watch seals. The ocean water is warm and the beaches are sandy. You can also enjoy harness racing, which is a tradition of Prince Edward Island.
